Hi! Welcome to RepurposeLife. My name is Nicole Nigg. I never imagined I would be writing about repurposing my home. I’ve always loved writing and filled several journals when our lives were turned totally upside-down and changed forever on July 9, 2011.
Since then, God has completely repurposed my family. He has changed our life-direction in so many ways. Some painful; some rewarding. But through it all He has been my rock.
I find it somewhat ironic that I now have a love and a passion for something I never would have even thought of attempting before. My grandpa was very talented in woodworking and apparently (unbeknownst to me, til after my husband’s accident) he passed some of that onto me. For my first project, I ripped the carpet off my stairs and transformed them into a beautiful wooden staircase. My house has been in continuous chaos, I mean renovation, since then….and I LOVE IT!!!! Building projects are my therapy through this new direction in life. I’m so thankful God opened my eyes to a new passion that I absolutely LOVE.
I love to share my projects and repurposing of my home with you and I hope you will be inspired to try them too. That is my goal…to help you overcome the fear and apprehension of power tools. It brings me SO much joy, when I hear from readers, about a new project they have tried and how much they loved it. You can do this!! And when you hit the final step of that tutorial, it is so empowering and rewarding.
Along with building projects and interior design, I also like to also share my story with you. I try to be transparent and express to you the difficult part of my journey and the joy that I have found. I hope to also get to know you. Please don’t hesitate, to email me: let me know what you’re working on and/or any questions you may have. I love to see what all you’ve created. You’re creativity inspires me.
So, Thank You!!! for joining me on this journey of RepurposeLife.
Now let’s go build something AWESOME together!!
